The problems here are that Microsoft Remote Desktop for MacOS is missing the /span option functionality and Windows 7 Pro support as an RDP target was deliberately hobbled by Microsoft in a, some would say misguided, attempt to drive revenue for sales for its premium/enterprise versions of Windows 7. It makes no difference what monitors you have on the remote system or what resolutions they are running. ![]() ![]() You have to have two displays, locally, that are running at the same resolution. You invoke the session using the mstsc command line using the /span option.Ģ. Windows 7 Pro will support multiple monitors but only from the Windows mstsc.exe command line.ġ. Microsoft RDP client for Mac does not currently support dual displays for Windows 7 Pro targets. Steve Shannon's "Best Answer" is misselading and bordering on incorrect.
